Here's the group of guys I have recently put together from various custom
MEGO sources. The characters are
The Commando, The Skunk, Mr. Thief, The Chief and
Lucky Pierre.
The Commando was a character I created way back in High School, probably about 1974, above is a drawing I did in the mid-90s as a tribute to my hero
Jack Kirby. I used to draw my own comics and Kirby was a major influence,
The Commando and his partner
Lucky Pierre were sorta stolen from
Captain America, Mister Miracle and a few other Kirby creations, hey I was like 15 and full of ideas!!! Here's a closer picture of my MEGO style version of them.

I continued to draw comics for fun and in the early 90s, I used to upload my
GIFstrips to both
CompuServe and
America Online, I eventually switched to JPEGs. Even to this day I occasionally draw a strip or two ... I just love to draw!!!
During this period I would just create characters with the idea that I would eventually draw a story about them later.
The Skunk was one of these, here's the old drawing and the current
MEGO version:

Next up are two new creations that I never drew growing up, but they continue the same sorta childish love for comics.
Here's
The Chief, he's an officer who works along with
The Skunk to stop crime. He needs a "real" name, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Now the final guy of this group is
Mr. Thief. I was trying to make a villain in the mold of those wacky
Golden Age Villains I know and love.

Well, that's it for my first post ... remember to click on the pictures to see the full sized versions. I hope to eventually use all my customs in a photo-story and hope you want to see it!!!
